Have to say I have never seen so many fantastic looking pies in my life and the task facing the judges was huge. In the end Hinchliffe`s Farm shop won following on from last years success. Anita Rani and her crew had spent the morning there and submitted her own pies which got through the first round and resulted in a commendation for her too! Brian Turner was a really nice bloke sharing stories of the difficulties facing the restaurant industry and throwing himself into his role as judge. Timothy Taylors sponsored the event and it also featured the Friendly Brass Band and an auction of winning pies and some great assorted prizes with all proceeds going to St Bartholomew`s Church, Ripponden.
